The Chestnut-breasted Coronet, Boissonneaua matthewsii, is an unmistakable hummingbird of the eastern Andes in Colombia, Ecuador, and Perú. It prefers to forage in the mid canopy, often clinging to flowers while feeding, but will also sally to hunt insects.
